AARP Driver Safety Course, June 24, 2013

An AARP Driver Safety Course will be held on Monday, June 24, hosted by the Carter Senior Center, 9040 Asheville Highway, Strawberry Plains. Class hours are 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM. To register, contact Center Director Rebecca Quarles, 865 932-2939, or AARP Instructor Linda Lawson, 865-397-8477 in Dandridge.

Course fee is $12.00 for AARP members and $14 for non-members. This class meets the State of Tennessee requirements for driver safety courses that may also qualify those age 55 and older for a multi-year car insurance discount. Contact your insurance agent for discount details.

The class is open to all members of the community and is an excellent opportunity to sharpen your knowledge of the “laws of the road” and learn some tips for smart driving.

Lunch is available at the Senior Center for $4 or participants may bring a sack lunch.
