Sawtelle on the campaign trail in the 7th District

"...Constituents in 6th and 7th District have been burdened with the prospect of uniquely damaging projects..."

Vickie Sawtelle, continued her campaign for 7th District County Commission, speaking at the 1st Annual Fun Ride , a fund raising effort to benefit the Strawberry Plains Library renovation. Speaking to the participants, Sawtelle said, “ the Fun Ride is a perfect example of pride and support for the family community. Constituents in 6th and 7th District have been burdened with the prospect of uniquely damaging projects, that will ultimately affect everyone, not the least being the degradation of the family community.” The Strawberry Plains Library is located in downtown Strawberry Plains of the 6th District, however many constituents in the 7th District are involved and support the renovation effort.

Participants donated $5.00 per rider, to enjoy the beautiful riding trails with family and friends and support the effort to renovate the historic Strawberry Plains Library, which includes plans for improvement to the structure ,upgrading the interior spaces and additional computers for public use.

A beautiful fall weather made it a perfect day for horse-back riding with family and friends, the trail led back to a hot dog roast and refreshments, while visiting around a bonfire. Jack Kramer who heads up the project gave an informative presentation about plans for the library renovation. The successful event was organized by Amy and Jay Neary. Beverly and Jack Kramer hosted the event on the property of their historic farm in New Market.
