THE NRA YOUTH HUNTER EDUCATION CHALLENGE THIS SATURDAY

twra-logoThe Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency will be hosting the annual NRA Youth Hunter Education Challenge this Saturday, August 3rd at the John Sevier Hunter Education Center in Knoxville, Tenn. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m.

YHEC is an advanced hunter education program designed to build and further develop skills taught in basic hunter education courses.Participants will enjoy a day of rifle, shotgun, and archery shooting while being instructed by NRA and John Sevier Range safety officers.

Youngsters up to 18 years of age may participate and completion of a hunter education course is not required to attend. Parent or guardian permission is required. No prior experience is necessary, but participants must be able to safely handle and shoulder firearms.
