Thursday was a great night for music, and the packed lawn behind Town Hall in Dandridge’s Historic Town Square was proof that Music on the Town 2013 has begun. Music on the Town is an every Thursday evening in September event and a wonderful way to kick off fall in Jefferson County. The entertainment is eclectic and there is something for everyone. Local restaurants offer good food at a reasonable price for those that want to arrive early and skip cooking dinner. Opening the event for the 2013 season was Paula Michelle and Matt Cordell, who offered their rendition of some old, funky favorites that were certainly crowd-pleasers. Music lovers are encouraged to take advantage of the talented line up of artists, bring a lawn chair and make the most of those wonderful fall evenings. Look for Steve Rutledge & Stranded on Thursday, September 12, 2013, starting at 6pm for those looking for a front row seat and to purchase dinner or a snack. The show will begin at 7pm and it is free to the public. Food donations for the Dandridge Ministerial Association are requested and will go to assist those in need in the local community. Mark the calendar because Music on the Town is only on Thursdays and only in September.  Fall in love with fall in the Historic Town Square in Dandridge and enjoy ushering in the season with some of the best music in East Tennessee.
