The Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) located in Morristown held their annual Fly In on Saturday, September 14, 2013. The highly anticipated event was located at Moore-Murrell Airport and featured a variety of aircraft for viewing and demonstration. The Civil Air Patrol was available to demonstrate their digital flight simulator and there was a variety of vendors, as well as the local Fire Department, was on hand as well. One of the favorite fly overs for the children is the candy drop and this year’s drop brought sounds of excitement and laughter from the waiting crowd. Antique craft, such as World War II planes, shared air and runway space with locally made aircraft. The EAA is an active group of aviation enthusiasts in the Morristown area and they are based at the Moore-Murrell Airport. The annual Fly-In offers the community the opportunity to view a spectacular array of aircraft, both in the air and on the ground.
