SPECIAL HOLIDAY EVENT

AT RACHEL'S ATTIC AND THE DANDRIDGE GENERAL STORE

You are invited to a special event at the Holiday Open House held at the Dandridge General Store and Rachel’s Attic on November 15 from 4 to 8 PM. Their gallery is located in Historic Downtown Dandridge, on Gay street near the corner of Gay and Main Streets (look for the blue awning); join them for some holiday cheer as well as to meet and talk with Jo Stephens, the Quilt Square Hunter.

Ms. Stephens has spent three years traveling the Appalachian Quilt Trail. She has numerous slides and information on the quilt squares of Jefferson County that she will be sharing. She also has developed two styles of mugs, a 2013 calendar, and a blanket done in quilt square motifs. These items make wonderful, special Christmas gifts for loved ones. All net proceeds from the sale of her products go to benefit Sunshine Ambassadors, Inc. The Sunshine Ambassadors is a 501-c-3 public charity “whose mission is to enrich the lives of individuals with disabilities through dance, utilizing both structured classes and public performances. Confidence and pride in one’s accomplishments are the results, plus the public is enlightened as they realize these dancers can exceed common expectations.”

The Dandridge General Store specializes in items made in the USA, most of which are made by hand, some locally. Their tag line – We have you covered from lobes to toes – reflects that the store carries a wide variety of handmade earrings and socks, and other accessories including jewelry, purses, scarves and home decor. Fine foods include fresh pasta, Mollie’s Rubs, local honey, and coffee. You can get more information about the Dandridge General Store by going to www.DandridgeGeneralStore.com, or on their Facebook Page.

Rachel’s Attic has antiques and collectibles, including glass, dinnerware, and an extensive vintage postcard collection. Their tag line – View the world through 20,000 vintage postcards – refers to their vintage postcards from every state in the union plus holiday and cards from other countries. Their web site, www.rachelsattic.rubylane.com offers their full range of antiques and collectibles for sale as well. Up-to-date info is also displayed on the Facebook Page.

Refreshments will be served at their open house. Make it a party and bring your friends. Get some shopping done before the last minute Christmas rush. For questions, call 865-397-3977 or (865) 484-0222.
