The top 6 anglers from this weekend’s TBF Tournament at The Point Marina and their 2 ­day catch totals: 1st place, Adam Jones, Knox County Bassmasters, 26.30 pounds; 2nd place, Eddie Mullins, Cherokee Bassmaster, 25.94 pounds; 3rd place, Benny Kizer, Smoky Mountain Bass Anglers #2, 24.43 pounds; 4th place, Larry Reid, Smoky Mountain Bass Anglers #2, 24.24 pounds; 5th place, Chad Waddell, Cherokee Bassmasters, 23.80 pounds; 6th place, Walter Ogle, Monroe County Bassmasters, 23.22 pounds. These six anglers will now advance to the Southern Divisional Tournament.

The top five six ­man teams won prizes and cash for their efforts over the last two days. The results: 1st place, Southwest Virginia Bassmasters, 104.49 pounds, received $750 and merchandise; 2nd place team, Cherokee Bassmasters, 94.68 pounds, received $600, plaques, and merchandise; 3rd place team, Volunteer Bassmasters, 77.63 pounds, received $500, plaques, and merchandise; 4th place team, Smoky Mountain Bass Anglers, 75.63 pounds, received $400 and prizes; 5th place team, Grundy County Bass Club, 71.57 pounds, $300 and merchandise. The merchandise included, rods, rod socks, Lew’s reels, sunglasses, and Boomerang tools.

David Daniel, President of TBF, summarized this week’s event in one word, “Outstanding”. He expressed his sincere gratitude to the local merchants, the Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce, the Field of Dreams Activity Center, and the people of Jefferson County and Dandridge. He said everyone involved helped make this tournament a great success for both their organization and Jefferson County.
