Carson-Newman Lyric Theatre presents Big River On Friday, Oct. 18, Carson-Newman University’s Lyric Theatre will raise the curtain on its fall production of “Big River.” Under the direction of Kyle Biery, “Big River” is based on Mark Twain’s legendary work “The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn.” Performances are scheduled for Friday, Oct. 18, and Saturday, Oct. 19, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 20, at 2 p.m.

Propelled by an award-winning score from the late country music artist Roger Miller, this musical retelling of an American classic brings humor, suspense and heartwarming moments to Carson-Newman’s Gentry Auditorium.
