“In the Round Tour” coming to Carson-Newman University, November 3, 2013

Renowned Christian music artists Bebo Norman, Andrew Peterson and Sara Groves are coming to Carson-Newman University Sunday, Nov. 3, as part of the “In the Round Tour.”
Norman, Peterson and Groves are all well-known in the contemporary Christian music community. The “In the Round Tour” brings the three co-headliners and friends together on stage for a one-of-a-kind experience. Each will perform some of their best-loved songs, but they will share the stage for the majority of the night for a true “in-the-round” event.
“I am honored to be sharing the stage with such thoughtful songwriters,” Groves said. “The in-the-round night always leaves room for spontaneity, and the band is incredible. I can only anticipate an amazing night of music and stories.”
The evening will also be among one of Norman’s last performances. Earlier this year he announced plans to retire from the music industry at the end of 2013.
The tour is presented by Compassion International, the world’s largest Christian child development organization. According to the organization’s Sr. Vice President Mark Hanlon, Compassion International’s partnership with Norman has brought in over 15,000 child sponsorships over the span of a decade. Representatives will be available to provide more information on how to sponsor a Compassion child.
The campus concert is sponsored by Carson-Newman’s Eagle Production Co.
Held in Carson-Newman’s Gentry Auditorium at 8 p.m., the event is free. Contact Brent McLemore at bmclemore@cn.edu<mailto:bmclemore@cn.edu> for more information. Seating is limited.
