INVITATION TO BID – School Buses

The Jefferson County Purchasing Department will be accepting sealed bids for one new 84-passenger Front Engine Transit Type D school bus, one used 2012 Type C special needs 18 passenger school bus with three (3) wheelchair lift stations, and one used 2012 mini special needs 29 passenger school bus for the Jefferson County School System. In addition, we will be accepting bids for up to four 2005 used 77, 84, or 90 passenger Front Engine or Rear Engine Transit Type D school buses. All winning bids of used school buses will be required to provide the original title of the bus to prove original in-service date. These buses must meet all DOT, Federal, and Tennessee specifications. For specification details, please contact Sherry Dotson, Transportation Supervisor, 865-397-2139, option 2, Ext. 3.

Sealed bids should be labeled “JCS School Buses” and either dropped off or mailed to the attention of Darrell Helton, Finance Director, at 1244 Gay Street or PO Box 1749, Dandridge, TN 37725. Bids will be accepted until 1:00 PM, Thursday, November 21, 2013, at which time bids will be opened in the finance department conference room.
