HALDEN E. “HAL” WAREHAM

HALDEN E. “HAL” WAREHAM, age 78, of Dandridge, TN and formerly of Tampa, FL passed away Friday morning, November 8, 2013 at his home. He was born July 7, 1935 in Butler, Ohio, the son of the late Kenneth and Grace Wareham. Preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie and sister, Frankie. Hal was a retired Sergeant of the Hillsboro County Sheriff’s Dept. of Tampa, FL and was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp. He was a graduate of DeFiance College where he played on their only undefeated football team. He enjoyed sports and coached baseball, basketball and football that involved his children and grandchildren and was active with the Gold Medal Police Olympics in Australia. Following his retirement to East Tennessee he became a member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church and was a substitute teacher at Centerview Elementary and Cocke Co. High School and also was an avid golfer at Baneberry Country Club. He is survived by wife, Agnes Wareham; children, Kim, Dan, Brian, Maureen and Peggy; grandchildren, Amy Sawyers, Daniel and Patrick Cox, Melissa Wareham, Joshua Cox, Josh and James Sadowski, Kyle, Jason and Joe Wareham, Dominic and Maria Savorelli; great grandchildren, Cameron and Dagan Cox, Kye Wareham, Hunter and Dominick Sadowski and Melissa Ashley; step children, Patricia Rodriguez, Mark and Kenny McEwen; 9 step grandchildren; sister, Eleanor Hitchman; brother, Russell Wareham. A memorial service celebrating the life of Halden Wareham will be held Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at 2:00pm at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with Deacon Jim Prosak presiding.
