ALVIN “JACK” WALKER, age 86, of Jefferson City, TN went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 10, 2013. Preceded in death by parents, Charles Walker, and Ivan and Edith Cox Walker Hayworth; brothers, Donald A. Walker and Virgil W. Walker; sisters, Berta Mae Ingram and Omalee McDaniel. Survived by wife of 48 years, Irene Whitehead Walker; children, Tim Walker (Stephanie), Kristi Walker Metler (Brian), Jacquie Wilmoth, Bobbye Young, Ricky Walker (Debbie), Lisa Turner (Mike); grandchildren, Hannah, Jacob, Noah, Jordyn, Eric, Brad, Ashley, Sherri, John, Missy, Cathy, Greg, Billy, Dudley, Michelle, Ricky Sue, and Jesse; brothers and sisters, Imogene Foster, Inez Sparks, Nyoka Teague (Tom) and Ikie Hayworth; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, December 13, 2013 at Farrar Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Dye and Rev. Rick Bradbury officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. prior to the service. Family and friends will gather at 10:45 a.m. Saturday at Jefferson Memorial Gardens for an 11:00 a.m. graveside interment service.
