Knoxville Area Corvair Club Makes Donation to Dandridge Ministerial Association
The Dandridge Ministerial Association received an early Christmas gift Saturday when the Knoxville Area Corvair Club made a donation in the form of a check for $405 along with several hundred dollars worth of food items purchased by the club members. The club delivered their goods in several Chevrolet Corvairs sporting the iconic “trunk in front” design made popular by Chevrolet in the 1960’s.
On hand for the donation presentation was Knoxville Area Corvair Club president Richard Payne, Treasurer Wesley Knowles, Secretary Dick McPherson, and Ron Ryan, the local member of the club who nominated the Dandridge Ministerial Association as a candidate for the donation. Accepting on behalf of the DMA was Director Beth Cash and husband Kyle Cash.
Club president Payne said, “People really just don’t realize how much need there is around this time of year”. “It is a pleasure to be able to help.”
