Sevier County Bank soliciting nominees For 2014 Education “Hall of Fame”

Sevier County Bank logoSevier County Bank is currently accepting nominations for the 2014 Education Hall of Fame for the Sevier County School System. Forms can be completed online at www.scbstories.com/education‐hall‐of‐fame/ or a hard copy is available at each of the bank’s six locations. Nomination forms not completed online may be returned to any SCB location or mailed to Sevier County Bank, P.O. 5288, Sevierville, TN 37864, Attn: Marketing. Deadline is Wednesday, April 2.

“We’re asking members of our local community to nominate any individual who has worked in the Sevier County School System that has made a significant impact in the lives of our students and educational system,” said President and CEO Matthew A. R. Converse. “This is an opportunity we have once a year to honor individuals for their lifetime commitment to education, whether they are teachers, support staff or administrators.”

Hall of Fame inductees will be announced next month at the annual dinner and awards banquet for the 2013‐2014 “Teachers of the Year” winners in Sevier County. Hall of Fame nominees may be current or retired from the school system or nominated posthumously.

Next month’s awards ceremony for Sevier County’s “Teachers of the Year” is co‐ sponsored by Sevier County Bank, Sevier County Board of Education and the Park Vista Double Tree Hotel. County‐wide winners for the 2013‐2014 school year include teachers Cindy Rule of Sevier County High School, Heather Burkhart of Pigeon Forge Middle School, and Sarah Cheek of Pi Beta Phi Elementary School. They will go on to compete for the 2015 “Tennessee Teacher of the Year.”
