UT Extension Presents Healthy Homes Program

University of Tennessee Extension invites the community to a free program on healthy housing at the King Family Public Library on High Street in Sevierville at 6:00 PM on Thursday, April 24, 2014.  This educational event, which will conclude at 7:30 PM, is presented by Extension’s State Specialist in Housing and Environmental Health.

The quality of the air inside the home is a major influence on human health,” states Bonnie Hinds, Extension Specialist.  “Learning—and practicing—the seven principles of healthy housing is especially important for those who suffer from allergies and asthma, as well as for children, who are more vulnerable to air quality issues.”  The April 24 program will introduce healthy housing concepts in a novel and fun way, spotlighting “green” issues just in time for spring cleaning season.

Reservations are requested.  For more information or registration, contact Linda Hyder at the Sevier County UT Extension Office  – 453-3695 or lhyder@utk.edu
