Happy Easter

Easter is a highly anticipated religious holiday celebrated by Christians around the globe. In addition to being a revered and sacred day to acknowledge the death and rising of Christ, Easter, like Christmas, has become a favorite holiday among those young and young at heart. Around 60 million Chocolate Easter Bunnies will find their way into homes and Easter baskets this year, but they can’t hold a candle to the approximately 600 million peeps that will be sold. Though the bunny is traditional, the egg is the most common symbol of Easter. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 1 billion eggs, give or take a few cracked in the dyeing process, will be hunted this year. The Easter Bunny is enormously popular in America, where he often leaves baskets of colored eggs, candy and, or course, a chocolate bunny for young children. Interestingly, when those children break out the chocolate bunny for a sweet and tasty snack, 76% will eat the ears first and most prefer to consume their favorite cherry flavored jelly beans one at a time.
