Wedding Venues

My youngest daughter just told us that she is planning to get married and we are thrilled. We love the young man that she is marrying and are looking forward having him as a son in law. The only problem is that they want to have a late June wedding and I just do not think that there is time to plan. My daughter has already purchased a dress and it is beautiful but I am concerned about the venue and catering. She really wants to stay in Jefferson County for her wedding. Do you have any suggestions?

Congratulations to your daughter and your family. June seems to be the preferred month for weddings and so it is important that you book a place now. I am assuming that it is not going to be a really large wedding, considering the time frame, and that does open up some options. Historical homes in the County often accommodate weddings. Another option would be some of the local bed and breakfasts. They can often supply the food for an event, as well as space. A unique option would be to rent a large boat and have an on the water wedding with guests also attending on water craft. Really, the options are wide open but I would suggest contacting the planner in the city or town that she wishes to wed. They should know what is available for lease and who can accommodate you and your daughter on her special day.
