Glenmore Victorian Mansion in Jefferson City will be hosting a Spring Garden Market on Saturday, May 3, from 9: a.m. until 2: p.m. A luncheon will be served in the tea time tent from 11: a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Flowers, vegetable plants, garden items and green plants will be available for purchase. Strawberries will be sold if available. There will be strawberry shortcake in the Tea Time Tent. Guided tours of the mansion will be available on the half-hour beginning at 9:30 a.m. Cost is $5 for adults and $2 for ages 12 and under. This annual spring event is the opening date for the tour season, held May through October. There is no cost for admission to the grounds.

Proceeds are to restore and preserve one of the Southeast’s best example of Second Empire Victorian architecture. Glenmore is restored and maintained by the volunteers of the Glenmore chapter of the Association for the Preservation of Tennessee Antiquities. The APTA is the lodes historic preservation organization in Tennessee.
