The 2014 Farm Concert Series presented by the Jefferson County Post kicked off their opening event on Saturday evening. A little rain could not dampen the excitement of the opening show for this year’s premier musical entertainment event. The annual concert series showcases some of the best talent in the region and does it all while keeping that down on the farm friendly atmosphere that is welcoming to music lovers of all ages. Local band favorite Grits played opening night and The Downbeats warmed up the crowd as the first talent of the evening to take the stage. Running into the fall, the Dumplin Valley Farm Concert Series has a stellar line up of shows that hit a variety of musical genres and offer big ticket shows usually found in the city, without the travel time. As always, patrons are encouraged to bring a chair or a blanket, lay back and enjoy an evening of music under the stars and down on the farm.

The Dumplin Valley Concert Series is located on Dumplin Valley Road, across from Mount Horeb Elementary School. It is a family friendly event and a great way to spend a Saturday evening in Jefferson County. The next show will be on Saturday, June 14th and will feature Beau Gator and the JayStorm Project.
