VBS Raises Money for Mt. Horeb Backpacks

Once again Hopewell Presbyterian Church and Dandridge First United Methodist Church hosted a successful joint Vacation Bible School. This year over forty children attended the Weird Animals VBS and learned that Jesus Loves You – even if you’re left out, different, scared, do wrong or don’t understand. In the course of the week of June 2 – 6, the boys and girls raced against each other to bring in money for local missions. Together they raised over $200 for Mt. Horeb Backpacks. The monies will help children receive needed school supplies during the 2014-15 school year.

Hopewell and DFUMC are located across from each other on Meeting Street in Dandridge. Hopewell’s entrance faces Hopewell St. Both churches have Sunday morning worship and small group time as well as other programs during the week. Come and visit!
