Organizers of the Mountain Music Kids Fishing Tournament are preparing for it’s Annual Kids Fishing Tournament on July 26th, 2014.

The event is being held at the Douglas Dam TVA Boat Ramp where the weigh-ins and festivities will take place. The 2013 tournament saw 386 parent/child entries with teams from across the U.S. participating. This is one of the largest kids fishing tournaments in the country, and is sponsored soley by donations from individuals and businesses.

This is the 24th year of the tournamant and we are trying to register 400 teams to compete. Each child registered recieves a T-shirt and recieves a prize for his/her catch. Contestants range from this tall, to 16 years of age fishing with adult supervision/partner.

For 24 years this tournament has inspired thousands of kids to get outdoors and take advantage of the Natural Resources provided to us in Tennessee and especially in Sevier County.
