Hands On At Martha Dandridge Garden Club

The Martha Dandridge Garden Club met on Thursday, July 24, 2014 and welcomed a special speaker and feathered guests. Steve McGaffin, of the Knoxville Zoo, brought some native birds to visit the Garden Club. In addition to the presentation, the ladies gained knowledge on the composition of gardens that attract and nurture native birds. Planting for late summer and early fall were also a part of the program, as well as the assembly of floral supplies and vases that will be donated to one of the Club’s charities, Random Acts of Flowers of Knoxville, who gift arrangements to brighten the day of those in need. The Martha Dandridge Garden Club is an active club that meets monthly at the Dandridge Senior Citizen Center. Visitors are always welcome at the Club.
