Support ETSU in College Colors Day Spirit Cup Competition

Buccaneer.289.1245.KThe 10th annual College Colors Day celebration is underway and the ETSU Department of Intercollegiate Athletics is asking all Buccaneer fans to help join in the Spirit Cup Competition.

The Spirit Cup is based off a points-based system using social media to crown the champion. ETSU fans can join the competition via Twitter and Instagram using the hashtags #collegecolors and #excellenceeveryday, while bonus points will be earned by using the College Colors Day app to share photos showing your Buccaneer Pride. The school with the most points at the end of the competition (August 29 at 11: 59 p.m. ET) will be crowned the champion and receive a $10,000 donation towards its general scholarship fund.

Below is a breakdown of how ETSU receives points during the College Colors Day Spirit Cup Competition:

  • A tweet using #collegecolors and #excellenceeveryday hashtag = 1 point
  • A tweet with a picture using #collegecolors and #excellenceeveryday hashtag = 5 points
  • An Instagram post using #collegecolors and #excellenceeveryday hashtag = 5 points
  • A shared post on Twitter or Instagram through the College Colors app that uses #collegecolors and #excellenceeveryday = 50 points
