Volleyball to Host Battle Royale in Mossy Creek, October 18, 2014

Carson-Newman volleyball head coach Dan Ahiers has added a game with Belmont Abbey on October 18 as Holt Fieldhouse will play host to three games on a mid-October Saturday.

The Eagles originally scheduled contest with Catawba will begin at 1 p.m. with the Indians and Crusaders clashing at 4 p.m. A 7 p.m. nightcap between Carson-Newman and Belmont Abbey will conclude a trio of contests aptly called the Battle Royale at Mossy Creek by Ahiers.

Belmont Abbey, the two-time defending Conference Carolinas Champions, and Carson-Newman will face off for the first time since the Eagles swept the Crusades in the 2011 season opener.
