Roversi Caps 2014 Recruiting Class for Women’s Soccer

Buccaneer.289.1245.KETSU Women’s Soccer Head Coach Adam Sayers has announced the final signee of his incoming recruiting class, Italian midfielder Paola Roversi (Rieti, Italy). The daughter of Paolo and Susanna Roversi, Paola brings a wealth of versatility and international playing experience to the Buccaneers.

As a member of Italy’s Under-17 National Team, Roversi scored goals against Spain and Bulgaria. She also earned a spot on Italy’s Under-19 squad.

“We are thrilled Paola [Roversi] will be joining us,” Sayers said. “She is a very talented and versatile midfield player. Her experience is invaluable, and she will provide us with several options, allowing us to be more flexible in how we set the team up. Paola is an excellent addition to the team.

A talented multi-sport athlete, Roversi has enjoyed immense success as a golfer, snowboarder, and skier in addition to etching a successful amateur soccer career.

Roversi completes a recruiting class that includes fellow freshmen Megan Horner (Talbott, Tenn.), Alba Llaras (Molerussa, Spain), Garazi Murua (Getxo, Spain), and Jil White (Franklin, Tenn.).

ETSU will host Radford Friday, August 22 at 7:00 p.m., inside Summers-Taylor Stadium for the Buccaneers 2014 regular season opener.
