Chloe Hubbard Crowned Fairest Of The Fair
The girls were pretty, the lights were bright and the music was country at the Jefferson County Fair on Saturday evening, as Fairest of the Fair took the center stage in the Biddle Pavilion. The headline event of the evening was the first out on stage, as five lovely young ladies competed for the title of Jefferson County Fairest of the Fair 2014. Hosting the event was longtime pageant personality Darrell Chambers who served as MC. In addition Janell Northern and Loretta Rummel, who are familiar faces on the pageant circuit, were on hand to keep the competition running smoothly.
Fairest of the Fair opened with a dance number led by 2013 Fairest of the Fair Katelyn Inman. The field of young ladies also competed in evening wear and a question and answer portion. Contestants have been visible at the Fair throughout the various pageants, working to assure that needs are met. Following the competition sequences and individual introductions, the time had arrived for Inman to complete her final walk as Jefferson County Fairest of the Fair and pass the crown to the next winner.
Jefferson County High School student Chloe Hubbard was crowned the 2014 Jefferson County Fairest of the Fair. She will spend the year representing Jefferson County and the Jefferson County Fair at various local events. Hubbard will also compete on the State level later this year.
1st runner up was Renee Maynard, followed by 2nd runner up Destiny Bales, 3rd runner up Morgan Ridenour and 4th runner up Morgan Holliday. Destiny Bales was awarded Most Photogenic and Morgan Holliday was crowned Crowd Favorite. Morgan Ridenour was titled Miss Congeniality, an award voted on by the Fairest of the Fair contestants.
Fairest of the Fair Chloe Hubbard immediately began her duties as she crowned the winners of Preteen Miss and Teen Miss.
Macie Vaughn took home the title of Preteen Miss (ages 10 to 12) in the second pageant of the evening. She was followed by Destiny Dalton as 1st runner up, 2nd runner up Lindsay Arnold, 3rd place Katelyn Cox and 4th place Brianna Walker.
Emily Vance was crowned Crowd Favorite and Lindsay Arnold was voted Most Photogenic. Macie Vaughn was awarded Best Hair, Best Eyes, Best Smile, Best Dress and Best Personality.
The final pageant of the evening and the 2014 Jefferson County Fair was Teen Miss (ages 13-15). Madison Myers was crowned Teen Miss 2014 out of a field of 13 contestants seeking the title. Amelia Mooneyham was 1st runner up and Sarah Hopkins was 2nd runner up. Rounding out the trophy winners was 3rd runner up Harley Ramesy and 4th runner up Camryn West.
Lauren Holliday was award Crowd Favorite. Amelia Mooneyham received Best Hair accolades, as well as Best Personality and Sarah Hopkins was awarded Best Eyes. Madison Myers won Best Smile and Most Photogenic and Harley Ramsey received Best Dress.
The combination of pageants brought in a total of $1,027 from Crowd Favorite votes and those funds will go toward renovating the dressing rooms. In addition to current pageant contestants, several former Fairest of the Fair winners were recognized throughout the three days of pageants. Headline sponsors for the Fairest of the Fair were the Formal Approach, First Peoples Bank and The Jefferson County Post.
