Access Life Celebrates 5th Anniversary

Life Access 1 08292014Access-Life just celebrated their 5th anniversary outreach in Dandridge this past Sunday and event organizers, Doug and Leanne Goddard, were excited about the scope of the event’s outreach.

Over 700 folks attended including participants, volunteers and exhibitors, about 400 people were given boat rides, 800 hot dogs were served and nearly 20 mobility items, including wheelchairs and walkers, were dropped off for the outreach in Belize next February.

Special 5th anniversary canvas bags, lanyards and buttons were given out and some great God stories of lives touched in a special way by Him that day were shared.

The annual event allows those living with disabilities and their families the opportunity to have a day of fun and fellowship.

Doug and Leanne are the Directors of Access- Life and, thought the program is based in Florida, they have strong ties to Jefferson County. Doug is the son of Doug and Caroline Goddard, of Dandridge, and he is a graduate of Jefferson County High School. Their ministry was founded in 2010 and now spans three states, involving around 1,500 volunteers.
