JCHS Golf defeats Cocke,West Boys

Jefferson County’s boys golf team defeated Cocke County and Morristown West in a 3-way golf match at White Pine Golf Club. Led by Andrew Briggs who shot a second consecutive low round of 35, JCHS won the match 150-155-185 while Cocke County came in second.

Other low scores on the day were Jake Barnes and Justin Saylor each with a 38, while Trevor Gentry and Danny Bates each shot a 39.

***Girls Fall to Cocke Co***

The Jefferson County girls team wasn’t as fortunate falling to Cocke County in their 3-way match by only 1-stroke. Kelsey Haun shot a match low 39 for the Lady Patriots, however it wasn’t enough as they fell 83-84. Morristown West would shoot a 91.Makenzie Doane would also shoot well for the Lady Patriots with a 45.

JCHS Golf returns to action Thursday at Patriot Hills against Sevier County.
