JCHS 2014 Homecoming Court
Jefferson County High School will celebrate their Homecoming this Friday and the week will be full of spirit building fun working up to the game. One of the highlights of Homecoming is the crowning of the Queen. This year fourteen lovely young ladies, in grades 9-12, represent the student body as members of the 2014 Homecoming Court. One of eight Senior representatives, elected by the student body, will be crowned the 2014 Homecoming Queen.
Senior Class
Hannah Oakes – is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Keith Oakes of Jefferson City. Hannah was a member of the 2014 Youth Leadership class. She is President of the National Art Honor Society and has her artwork accepted into the Knoxville Museum of Art, Rose Center and Congressional Art Competition for East TN. She is a member of Jefferson City Christian Church where she works in the Kids Way department.
Destiny Bales – is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Jeff Bales of Jefferson City. While at JCHS she has been involved in the basketball, golf and track teams. She is a member of the Lakeway Area Young Life and enjoys attending Manley Baptist Church in Morristown. Destiny will be representing the Jefferson City area as a 2014 Teen Board Presentee. After graduation Destiny wants to pursue an education in Nursing.
Emily Yow – is the daughter of Kellye & Norman Yow of White Pine. She is a member of the Beta Club, the Varsity Cheer squad and is a Peer Tutor. Emily plans to further her education with a teaching degree and hopes to one day obtain a masters in Special Education. She enjoys swimming, reading, and babysitting.
Lauryn Proffitt – is the daughter of Bill & Christy Proffitt of White Pine. She is the captain fo the Varsity Cheerleading squad. She is also a member of the Beta Club and National Technical Honors Society. She has been chosen this year as a Teen Board Presentee. She is a member of the Leadvale Baptist Church. She enjoys gymnastics, swimming, shopping & volunteering for the community.
Emme Mutterspaugh – is the daughter of Jay Mutterspaugh and Beth Grimes of White Pine. She is captain of the JCHS Varsity Dance Team, yearbook editor, and member of the Beta Club and Key Club. Emme attends Harvest Outreach and Arrowhead Church. She enjoys doing community service at the Life Outreach Center, Head Start and volunteers with the children’s ministries at her churches.
Savanah Orr – is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Chad Orr of Jefferson City. She is a member of the Patriot Events Council and captain fo the Patriot Elite Singers. Savanah is a member of the Jefferson City Christian Church. She enjoys hunting and fishing.
Eleanor Trent – Known to most as “Ellie” is the daughter of Chris & Theresa Trent of New Market. She is an active member of the JCHS Forensics Team and a member of the Beta Club. In he free time she enjoys horseback riding and volunteering in her community.
Rachel Blalock – is the daughter of Pam & Joseph Zaiger. She is a former cheerleader and student of the Jefferson County Youth Leadership Program. Rachel is a member of the Mill Springs Baptist Church. She enjoys playing the piano, fishing, and skeet shooting.
Junior Class
Dharma Fawbush – is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Tracy Fawbush of Jefferson City. She is on the varsity soccer team at JCHS and also plays for Lakeway Soccer Club. She is a member of the FCA and Young Life. Dharma is a member of First United Methodist Church of Jefferson City, where she is active in the youth group and youth choir.
Chloe Hubbard – is the daughter of David & Kim Hubbard of Dandridge. She has been dancing for 14 years and is a member of the JCHS Patriettes Dance Team. She is the reigning Jefferson County Fairest of the Fair and Watagua Valleys Teen Princess. She is a member of FCA. She also loves helping out with the Animal Shelter as well as her community.
Sophomore Class
Victoria Thacker – is the daughter of Diana & Gary Thacker of Dandridge. She actively participates in mission trips and community service with her youth group at Freedom Fellowship Church in White Pine. She plans to attend and graduate from the University of Tennessee with a six year degree in psychology.
Ashtyn Fritz – is the daughter of Eric & Melanie Fritz of Jefferson City. She is a member of FCA, Mock Trial, HOSA, Young Life and is the manager of the Volleyball Team. Ashtyn is an active member of the Providence Youth Group.
Freshman Class
Makayla Wright – is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Jeff Wright of New Market. She loves to play softball and hopes to one day play for the Lady Patriots. She is a member of FCA at JCHS. She is also a member of Buffalo Grove Baptist Church where she enjoys activities with her youth group. She has participated in various local pageants and enjoys spending her free time hunting, fishing, and shooting guns with her dad and 3 brothers.
Ryleigh Fritz – is the daughter of Darren & Penny Fritz of White Pine. She is a member of the Lady Patriots basketball and volleyball teams. Ryleigh is a member of First Baptist Church of White Pine where she is active in the youth group. She is also a member of the Lady Trotters AAU Basketball team.
