Removing Gum from Carpet

Asked AnsweredI was wondering if you have any sure fire way to remove gum from carpet?

There is really not a surefire, easy method to removing gum from carpet. If the gum is gooey, hardening it with ice can make it easier to move. Gum also responds fairly well to oil and, for that reason, using vegetable oil or peanut butter will usually work. Be careful to clean the oil up well or it will leave its own spot on the carpet. Some suggest using flammables like WD 40 but that is not really a good idea and can be dangerous.
