Good Ole Southern sayings can be quite humorous. I am remembering a few and wonder if you remember hearing them also.

– Jumpy as a long-tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs

– Slower than molasses in January

– Lord willing and the creek don’t rise

– In between the devil and the deep blue sea

– Between a hard place and a rock

– Madder than an old wet hen

– He’s as poor as Job’s turkey

– Old as dirt

– He’s about three pickles shy of a quart

– He’s been rode hard and put up wet

– Fit to be tied

– I wouldn’t give you air if you were in a jug

– Tighter than Dick’s hatband

– If it had been a snake it would had bit you
