Maury Middle School Library to Host Scholastic Book Fair October 20-24, 2014

The Maury Middle School Library will host a Fall Harvest of Books at the Scholastic Book Fair. Funds raised will help purchase books for the library-media center. Families, faculty, and the community are invited to support this Fall Harvest of Books at the Fair to help inspire children to become lifelong readers.

The Book Fair will feature a special Family Night that will be held during Parent-Teacher Conferences on Thursday, October 23 from 3:30- 7:00 P.M.with raffles, contests, refreshments, and door prizes.

 

When:

Monday, October 20-Friday October 24 from 8:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M., for Maury Students.

Family Night is Thursday, October 23, 2014 from 3:30-7:00 P.M.

The Book Fair offers specially priced books and educational products, including popular series, award-winning titles, new releases, adult bestsellers, and other great reads from more than 100 publishers.

Book Fair customers may help the school build classroom libraries by purchasing books through the Classroom Wish List program. In addition, the Book Fair will feature the All for Booksprogram, where kids can share the thrill of reading by donating loose change to purchase books from the Book Fair for the school library. All for Booksboxes will also be found around Jefferson County at supporting businesses. Scholastic matches monetary donations with a donation of up to one million books, which go to national non-profit organizations dedicated to helping families in need, such as the Kids in Distressed Situations and Kids In Need Foundation.
