The Point Resort and Marina hosted the first fall Bikers for Babes that benefited the Tennessee Breast Cancer Coalition. Although the weather did not cooperate, Bikers still came out strong to support a great cause and have a little fun. Following a rather damp afternoon ride from the Harley Davidson in Pigeon Forge to The Point, participants spent the evening enjoying great food, music and the company of other bike enthusiasts. The Pavilion at The Point was packed with bikers who came to hear the local bands and rally behind the Tennessee Breast Cancer Coalition. Eva Talley, one of the owners of The Point and the fire behind this event, felt that it was important to spotlight Breast Cancer awareness and equally important to donate to a group that would keep the funds close to home, helping local breast cancer patients. Hillbilly Bonez was the headliner for the evening and George Yardley served as Master of Ceremonies, with a little help from owner David Rivers. One of the main sources of fundraising was the raffle of a beautiful motorcycle, which was the commutation of the event. But, shiny bike aside, it was evident that the Tennessee Breast Cancer Coalition was the big winner of the evening and they took home the prize of spotlighting awareness and funds to help those in need, thanks to the big hearts of a bunch of bikers.
