Christmas in Dandridge Calendar of Events offers Variety of Activities this Season

Dandridge invites everyone to join in the fun and festivities for their Annual Christmas in Dandridge Events.  The season officially kicked off at the Tree Lighting on November 20^th. Small Business Saturday and Open Houses at the downtown shops brought comfort and joy to the shopping experience for gift seekers.  “We encourage everyone to shop their favorite local shop in Dandridge throughout the entire Christmas season,” states Tina Murrow, Executive Director of Dandridge Community Trust. “Small businesses offer such unique, one-of-a-kind Christmas gift items and a personal shopping experience.”

Dandridge Community Trust is excited to bring the Knoxville Symphony Chamber Orchestra to Dandridge for a Christmas Concert on Friday, December 5^th.  Attendees are encouraged to take advantage of the “Symphony Dining Specials” featuring 10-20% off meals at the following restaurants: Angelos at The Point, Captain Bob’s, Dandridge Pizza & More, Owen’s Restaurant, Perkins Restaurant, Taste of Dandridge, and Walt’s Hitchin’ Post.

In keeping with past traditions, candlelight shopping is back by popular demand starting Friday, December 12^th.  This evening will host carriage rides, Live Nativity, carolers, refreshments, store specials and extended shopping hours.  This is a great evening to enjoy the quaint beauty of the historic downtown by horse drawn carriage, the fun of a “Girls Night Out” shopping and the wonderful sounds of the season as local church choirs and guest performance by Legacy Theater fill the streets with Christmas carols.

Shopping season will be in full swing as many businesses host their Open Houses on Thursday, December 4^th. Be sure not to miss complimentary Photos with Santa at the Main Street Coffee & Sweet Shoppe and Cookies with Mrs. Claus at Tinsley Bible from 5-8 p.m. Many of the downtown shops will offer extended hours each Friday through Christmas for your shopping convenience.

The long standing favorite, the Dandridge Christmas Parade, will be on Saturday, December 20^th at 1:30 p.m.
