The usually quiet town of White Pine, TN came to life this Saturday evening, December 6th at 5:00, as citizens, neighbors, families and friends gathered on the side of the streets to watch the White Pine Christmas Parade. The parade is routed from the White Pine Elementary School and goes through the downtown area. Sidewalks were filled with an enthusiastic crowd waiting to see their family, friends and neighbors, as well as collect candy! Local Businesses, Restaurants, Fire Departments, EMT’s, Martin Farms of New Market and many more participated in the parade. Though the weather did little to cooperate, Christmas spirit held out, proving that even if the weather outside is frightful pretty lights and holiday cheer can overcome almost anything. Floats, lights and candy galore were the perfect way to kick off the Christmas Parade season in Jefferson County and, of course, welcome Santa to town!
