Simply Christmas Fun for Fine Motor Training

It’s hard to believe Christmas is so close. This week is a great time to create Christmas fun, and boost fine motor skills.

Waffle Cone Christmas Trees:

Materials

– Waffle Cones

– Green Frosting

– Red Twizzlers

– Colored Candy for the lights (Sunburst {chocolate covered sunflower seeds} work well)

Directions

– Spread green frosting on the waffle cones.

– Peel apart red Twizzlers to make single strings.

– Make light strings and put them on the frosted cones.

– Put colored candy under the red strings for lights.

Stringing Pom Poms Materials

– Knit-cro-sheen white

– Needle

– Red, white & green tinsel pom poms of various sizes

Directions

– Thread the needle.

– Push the needle with string through the pom poms one at a time.

– Encourage use of various patterns from the colors.
