Homemade Hot Chocolate

recipe-dessertHomemade hot chocolate is so easy and tastes so much better than the packaged varieties. It’s super creamy, and you can adjust the sugar to your liking. I prefer mine more chocolatey than sugary, but feel free to add more sugar if you so desire.



1 cup heavy cream

1 cup water

2 T unsweetened cocoa powder

2 ½ T sugar (or more to taste)



Place cream and water into a small saucepan set over medium-low heat. Add cocoa powder and sugar and whisk until thoroughly combined (there should not be any lumps of cocoa powder visible).

Taste and add more sugar to your liking. Once the mixture is steaming, pour into a mug.
