WSCC Auditions for Spring Production of “Macbeth”

Walters State’s Department of Music and Theatre will hold auditions for the spring production of “Macbeth” Jan. 26-27 at 6 p.m. in the theatre of the Judge William H. Inman Humanities Complex on the Morristown campus. Auditions are open to both community members and students.

“Macbeth” is considered one of Shakespeare’s darkest and most powerful works. The play centers on the conflict between the title character’s bravery and chivalry and his ambition and madness. The play is directed by T. J. Kent, instructor of theatre.

Those auditioning are encouraged to be prepared with a one or two minutes of a classic monologue; otherwise, one will be provided during the auditions. The play needs 5-8 men, 5-7 women and one child, age 6-15.
