WSCC Invites Public To Performances of “Walk, Don’t Ride” in Celebration of Black History Month

Walters State Community College invites the public to performances of “Walk, Don’t Ride” by the acclaimed Word Players. Performances are:

•Feb. 5, Claiborne County Campus Auditorium, 3:30 p.m.

•Feb. 12, Sevier County Campus CAPE 104, 6:15 p.m.

•Feb. 19, Morristown Campus International Lyceum, 6:15 p.m.

•Feb. 24, Greeneville/Greene County Campus Room 100, 1:30 p.m.

“Walk, Don’t Ride” uses drama and song to depict key moments in the civil rights movement that shaped American freedom. These include the Montgomery Bus Boycott, the Nashville Lunch County Sit-ins, and the Greyhound/Trailways Freedom Rides. Admission is free and tickets are not required.
