How Much Snow Will March See?

Asked AnsweredI am aware that of the blizzard of 1993 but was wondering what the general amount of snowfall that can be expected in March will be? I personally am ready for some warm temperatures and have had my fill of snow for the year. Should I be on the lookout for more in March?

Blizzard of 1993 aside, the local area generally has improving conditions during March. Recent statistics state that there is historically a 12% chance of snow on March 1st and that is the most likely day for snow in March historically. The most likely day for any type of precipitation in March is on the 2nd, according to statistics. By the last day of March there is only a 5% chance, historically, that there will be any trace of snow. Other good news, if you are tiring of the snow and ice, is that even with the consideration of the blizzard, there has not been enough snow in March since 1988 to track any true accumulation amount. In other words, chances are favorable that a warm up is on the way.
