The D.A.R.E program turned double digits at Rush Strong School on Friday, March 27, 2015. In a program that attracted local dignitaries and special guest speakers, the awarding of diplomas was the highlight event of the evening. Plainsmen and their families were entertained by Miss Courtney Callin and Miss Molly Elkins, who offered the music for the celebration. Speakers were Ms. Elsie Johnson, Deborah Maples, Fairest of the Fair Chloe Hubbard and Brenna Smith of D.A.R.E. America Youth Advisory Board. SRO Maurice Solomon was the event organizer and program instructor at Rush Strong School. He also presented the Teacher Awards and Top 4 Reports.

Rush Strong Band offered the processional and Principal Jerry Bouler gave the crowd welcome. Brock Webster gave the invocation and Sammy Solomon and Amber Dalton handed out prize money to the overall award winner.

Student diplomas were presented by Officer Solomon, Principal Bouler and Assistant Principal Sally Meredith, with Officer Solomon giving closing remarks.

Special guests for the evening were Representative Andrew Farmer, Circuit Court Judge Duane Sloan, Circuit Court Judge Dick Vance, Dr. Edmonds, Director of Jefferson County Schools, Sheriff Bud McCoig, Chuck and Penny Murphy, County Commissioners for the 6th District Rob Blevins and Ralph Eslinger, County Commissioner for the 5th District Sammy Solomon, School Board Members Ralph Lowery and Johnathan Rogers, Chief Deputy Tim Carter, and Constable Frank Solomon.
