2015 Jefferson County FFA Tractor Pull
Those looking for a little excitement and the roar of a good engine were not disappointed Saturday as the annual FFA Tractor and Truck Pull came to the Jefferson County Fair Grounds. The mix of food, fun and a little friendly competition were the order of the day, as enthusiasts packed the bleachers in the Fair Grounds Arena to catch the action. A much anticipated yearly fundraiser, the proceeds from the event go to support the Jefferson County High School Future Farmers of America. Founded in 1928, the National FFA Organization is over half a million strong. Membership is encouraged for those that take Agriculture classes and membership can continue post graduation, until the age of 21. For those that wish to continue their association with FFA, Jefferson County has an active alumni organization that supports its youthful counterpart.
