A Sweet Saturday in Strawberry Plains

Strawberries were the order of the day on Saturday, as the Spring Strawberry Festival came to Strawberry Plains. Fun food, crafts and vendor booths gave festival goers with a great way to spend a sunny weekend day. Also on hand was the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department and the New Market Volunteer Fire Department. Knoxville Pipes and Drums provided entertainment for the event with their unique music. However, the star of the day were the ripe, sweet strawberries that were sold by the pint. The Strawberry Festival is an annual event and is always highly anticipated by the community.
