The Dandridge Community Trust held their dedication ceremony for the beautification project at the Historic Jefferson County Courthouse on Thursday, August 6, 2015. Several local officials and residents lined the front steps of the Historic Courthouse to view the cosmetic improvements that were donated by Dandridge Community Trust. Among those present and speaking at the event were Jefferson County Mayor Palmieri, Dandridge Mayor Gantte and Jefferson County Historian/ Dandridge Community Trust Representative Bob Jarnigan.

The project included engraved bricks that were purchased by the public in honor or memory of a person or business. These bricks surround the new landscaping and flag area in front of the building. Three new flags proudly fly above the memorial bricks, including the American, Tennessee and Jefferson County flags. Modern Woodman of America donated the flag poles for the project. The landscaping in front of the Historic Jefferson County Courthouse is a part of an ongoing beautification project of the Dandridge Community Trust and this phase is the accumulation of several years of planning and preparation.
