As the anticipation strengthened, the crowd quieted, and Dharma Fawbush was named the 2015 Homecoming Queen at Jefferson County High School. Unfortunately though for the Patriots, the Bradley Central Bears won the game that was played.

The Bears won in what was a great football game for the fans to witness. Trailing 14-10 at the half, Jefferson County took the lead with 6:41 remaining, on a touchdown strike from Austin Jenkins to Cole Snowden that covered 28-yards and the Pats led 17-14.

The lead was short lived for the Patriots. Bradley Central Quarterback, Cole Copeland, found a Bear receiver streaking down the far sideline for what really was the only big play of the game. The strike covered 62-yards and the Bears took the lead back at 21-17. The next play from scrimmage for Jefferson County was not what they were looking for, as a Jenkins pass went through the hands of Noah Carter and into the arms of a BC defender, and all of the sudden the game was a 2 possession game, which had been avoided all night.

Jefferson County would answer in a big way on the next drive, marching down the field and scoring what would be the final score of the game. Another Austin Jenkins touchdown pass, which found Noah Carter in the back of the endzone, made it 28-23 BC with 1:51 remaining. The ensuing onside kick was recovered by Bradley Central and all but ended the game.

***Side Note***

Devin Moore, the Bradley Central player that was injured Friday night, has had surgery on a broken tibia and dislocated ankle, and is out of the hospital and doing well.
