Great food was not in short supply at the Carriage House Tuesday night as the Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce hosted their second annual Jefferson County Sampler. The rainy night did not dampen the spirits of the over 100 people in attendance, or the 15 vendors who gathered to show off the food of the area.  The event hosted a wide variety of food, drinks, and desserts from local restaurants while music provided by Volunteer Spirits filled the room.   Restaurants on hand for the celebration included: Bojanlges, Bush’s Family Cafe’, Captain Bob’s Seafood & Steaks, Cowboy’s on the Water, Holy Smoke, Mr. Spuds, Perkins, Pizza Plus, Ruby Tuesday, Sweet Swine BBQ, and Tinsley Bible Drug Co.  The bakeries from Walmart and Food City, along with The Chocolate Ladies were on hand with some very sweet treats.

The $12 cover charge went to benefit the Chamber’s many community projects which includes the Building a Better Future program, Imagination Library, Leadership and Youth Leadership, Christmas in Jefferson County, and Three Star Community.
