2 More Bomb Threats In Jefferson County Schools Today

Two Jefferson County Schools were the recipients of bomb threats today. According to information provided from the Jefferson County Department of Education, Jefferson Middle School received an automated bomb threat shortly after noon on Tuesday, October 6, 2015. School Administration evacuated the school and informed authorities. As a precaution due to close proximity, the Jefferson Academy and Jefferson Elementary School were also evacuated. Canine units were on the scene and law enforcement swept the building. Following an all clear, students returned to their respective buildings.

A bomb threat was also received at White Pine School Tuesday, shortly after the threat at Jefferson Middle School. Authorities were on the scene and the building determined to be clear of any devices. All schools returned to their regular daily schedule following the all clear. Both threats were along the lines of the computer generated threats received last week at White Pine and the previous weeks in Hamblen County.
