Stop me if you have heard this before.  When Jefferson County takes the field tonight they will be facing a Hardin Valley team with an identical 3-3 record with a 1-2 record in conference play. That is also where your Jefferson County Patriots sit as of right now.

HVA on Defense:

HVA will run a 4-3 defense and absolutely fly to the football.  There isn’t much hesitation in the decision making of the linebackers, they read and react very well. Their defensive line looks to be their weakness on the defensive side, which could create running lanes for JCHS. The linebackers and defensive backs appear to be very solid and able hold their own against big time competition.

HVA on Offense:

They will run a shotgun 3 WR set with some single back and double back in the backfield. They are lead on offense by the Aguero twins, with Issiah being a very talented running back, and Isaac being there go to Wide Receiver. The problem is, much like on the defensive side of the ball, their offensive line is suspect at times and needs to improve to be able to utilize their skill players effectively.

Prediction:

Jefferson County got a big win last week at William Blount.  So big, in fact, that I think they carry that momentum into tonight and knock off the Hawks in Dumplin Valley. Expect a great defensive game and I think it is Jefferson County, 17-13.
