Jefferson County’s Grand Dame is dressed for the holiday season and looking spectacular, thanks to the dedicated volunteers that put in many hours on her behalf. Glenmore Mansion was built in 1868 as a private residence but in recent years it has been open to the public as a venue for weddings, parties and celebrations, as well as tours. Along with its highly anticipated garden market that takes place in May, Christmas Tours are one of the highlight events that are offered to the public. This year the stately mansion will have two weekends of Christmas Tours. On Saturday, December 5th Glenmore will be open from 1pm-5pm and candlelight tours will begin at 7pm and run until 9pm. Sunday December 6th tours will be from 1pm-5pm and candlelight tours from 7pm-9pm. Tours will also run on Saturday, December 12th and Sunday December 13th , with like hours to the previous weekend.

For those that are familiar with Christmas at Glenmore Mansion, this is a favorite time of the year. For those that may not have participated in the Christmas Tours during previous seasons, it is the opportunity to see the Lady at her best, with the candlelight tours adding something extra special to the experience.
