Family Friendly Places to Celebrate New Year’s Eve

I am looking for a family friendly place to ring in the new year but I can’t really find anything that I think is appropriate for my younger children. Do you know of anything that is relatively cheap to do for the new year that kids can also participate in?

If you have never done it before, seeing the ball drop in Gatlinburg is a nice way to spend the evening and it is almost free. Of course, there will be a charge to park and if you purchase any food or beverages, but even including that it should be fairly cheap. Go for the ball drop and stay for the parade. Both are family friendly events.
